Not interested in candidates with light home-garden experience, must have professional experience whether in a farm setting or fine gardening with an emphasis on production.
Our team is tight-knit and you must be a good fit.
Applicant should be organized, have a good work ethic, good attitude and communication/people skills.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience and compatibility.

Veggie Garden & Greenhouse Duties Greenhouse Overwintering all tropicals and ornamentals Pest and disease management IPM (scouting, monitoring, applying beneficials) Pruning and transplanting Establishing fertilizing programs Documentation and record keeping of pesticides, fertilizers and watering Greenhouse maintenance and sanitation Train & manage edibles staff Hardening off mature citrus & large ornamentals Using cold frames as season extension (greens, herbs) Veg Garden Seed starting all veggies, herbs & cut flowers Sourcing all seeds and planning garden & succession planting Bed preparation, soil testing, tilling, mulching Install drip irrigation and maintenance Weeding & pruning Construct structures for trellising Maintaining soil fertility (amending, cover crop application) Practicing crop rotation & designing 12 beds Pesticide and fertilizer applications Overseeing all harvests Maintenance of all tools IPM (scouting, monitoring, applying beneficials) Critter control (trapping, relocating) Ordering products as needed for garden (soil, pesticides, fertilizers) Inventory & Harvesting Documenting all harvests Adjusting inventory daily (as needed) Processing produce (freezing, dehydrating, juicing, vacuum sealing) Communicating with chef & family (harvesting to order) Overseeing garden cart, checking quality of produce Root cellar maintenance (checking quality, humidity, temperature) Detailed knowledge of processing and handling procedures Monthly / Weekly newsletter of garden update (what's growing?) This job is physical, and the gardener must be able to lift 50lbs, be comfortable lifting heavier items with coworkers, work in heat and in rain, and around honeybees and other insects.
